As a Senior Engineer within our Asset Management team, you will play a key role in delivering technical expertise across a range of offshore oil and gas asset management projects. You will provide specialist guidance, review and approve technical deliverables, and support clients in managing the performance, integrity, and longevity of their offshore assets.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and deliver asset management and engineering projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Review and assess client documentation, including PIDs, performance standards, maintenance programmes, and integrity management data.
- Develop and enhance asset registers, equipment hierarchies, material masters, and bills of materials.
- Analyse, manage, and maintain asset data to support effective asset integrity and lifecycle management.
- Develop and optimise maintenance, inspection, and integrity management strategies for offshore oil and gas assets.
- Review existing maintenance and inspection programmes, written schemes of examination, and job routines to identify improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate client workshops and technical meetings to gather requirements and develop practical asset management solutions.
- Lead or contribute to asset management studies and assessments, including HAZID, HAZOP, Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), Safety Critical Element (SCE) Identification, and Performance Standard Development.
- Support project managers and engineering teams with specialist technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on project financial and technical performance, including responsibility for project profitability, budget control, and cost management.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present project progress updates to clients, internal stakeholders, and third parties as required.
- Support business development activities, including identifying opportunities, attending client meetings, preparing proposals, and contributing to bids and tenders.
- Collaborate with business line and country managers to support regional growth and expand asset management services.
- Contribute to departmental budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning activities.
- Participate in internal reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote and ensure compliance with all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
What are we looking for?
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' relevant experience within the oil and gas, energy, or asset management sector.
- Strong knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and legislation, including API, ASME and RBI and the ability to apply them in practical engineering environments.
- Experience in the design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of engineering equipment.
- Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance, inspection, reliability, and integrity management programmes, including predictive and preventative maintenance strategies.
- Working knowledge of reliability and risk assessment methodologies, including FMEA, RCA, RCM, and RBI.
- Proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP, Maximo, AMOS, or IFS.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong report writing and presentation skills.

This role is offered on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.
This position will be based at our office in Kuala Lumpur. You must have the right to live and work in Malaysia. You must be willing to travel for work assignments as required.
