Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced, high-quality applications for the iOS platform using Swift.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements and wireframes into polished, pixel-perfect iOS interfaces adhering to Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and payment SDKs into iOS applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Swift code following established coding standards.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across different iOS devices and OS versions.
- Identify and correct performance bottlenecks, crashes, and bugs; devise and implement effective solutions.
- Write unit and UI tests to ensure robustness and reliability of features.
- Participate actively in code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and best practices.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and optimize data exchange.
- Manage App Store submissions, provisioning profiles, certificates, and release processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS frameworks, Swift language updates, and Apple platform changes.
- Document application changes, architectural decisions, and develop updates in line with product roadmap.
Skills & Qualification
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- 3–5 years of proven iOS development experience with published apps on the Apple App Store.
- Strong proficiency in Swift; working knowledge of Objective-C is an advantage.
- Solid experience with Xcode, Instruments, and associated iOS development tools.
- Deep understanding of iOS frameworks including UIKit, Foundation, Core Data, and Core Location.
- Experience with iOS architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or VIPER.
- Proficient in consuming RESTful APIs using URLSession or Alamofire.
- Experience with dependency management using Swift Package Manager (SPM) or CocoaPods.
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming using Grand Central Dispatch (GCD), Combine, or Swift Concurrency (async/await).
- Experience with Core Data or Realm for local data persistence.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, particularly Git.
- Experience writing unit tests (XCTest) and UI tests (XCUITest).
- Sound knowledge of memory management, ARC, and performance optimisation on iOS.
Good to Have
- Experience with SwiftUI for building declarative iOS user interfaces.
- Knowledge of push notifications (APNs), deep linking, and universal links.
- Experience working with payment SDKs or fintech applications.
- Familiarity with Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config).
- Understanding of App Store Connect, TestFlight, and the full iOS release pipeline.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.
- Experience with watchOS, tvOS, or widget extension development.
- Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
