Must-Have Skills
- Strong Backend Development experience.
- Expertise in at least one of:
- Java
- Python
- C
- Scala
- Strong SQL/Database skills (highest priority)
- Complex queries
- Joins
- Data analysis
- Relational DBs (NoSQL knowledge is a plus)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to understand and enhance existing code.
- Flexible to work across multiple technologies rather than sticking to one language.
Good to Have
- Basic Frontend exposure (only ~5% of work).
- Experience with Apache ecosystem.
- Credit Reporting / Financial Services domain experience is preferred.
Experience
- 5–12+ years.
- Strong skills are more important than years of experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work on an existing production application (not greenfield).
- Analyze existing codebase.
- Develop enhancements and new features.
- Resolve production-related issues.
- Work extensively with databases.
- Occasionally contribute to new initiatives, but primary focus is enhancement of mature applications.
