*This is a remote opportunity open to those located in British Columbia and legally eligible to work in Canada. We do have an office located in Victoria, BC for those located here and interested in a hybrid opportunity*

At Redbrick, we build and grow innovative technology companies used by people around the world. Within our portfolio, a small product team is focused on building and evolving a set of early-stage digital products, and we’re looking for a Software Developer to help take them to the next level.

In this role, you’ll work across both mobile and web applications, contributing end-to-end—from building new features to improving performance and supporting backend systems. This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys variety and ownership, and who is comfortable working across the stack to keep products moving forward.

You’ll collaborate closely with leadership and design while operating with a high degree of autonomy, making thoughtful technical decisions and shipping improvements quickly. We’re especially excited about developers who leverage AI in their workflow to prototype, problem-solve, and build more efficiently.

If you enjoy working on evolving products, wearing multiple hats, and making meaningful impact on a small team, you’ll thrive in this role.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and enhance mobile features in the Kite app using React Native and Expo.
  • Develop and maintain full-stack web features, including dashboards, content tools, or landing pages.
  • Connect the app and web experiences through Firebase and custom Google Cloud functions.
  • Manage backend integrations, REST APIs, and authentication workflows.
  • Collaborate on UI/UX across mobile and web platforms, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Support deployment workflows using TestFlight, Google Play Console, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor analytics and user feedback to inform iterative improvements.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and help set development best practices.

What we'd like to see in you

  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in React Native, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Expo.
  • Solid understanding of Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting) and Google Cloud services.
  • Experience building and deploying web apps and backend APIs.
  • Comfortable with Git/GitHub, modern testing practices, and agile workflow tools.
  • Familiarity with mobile deployment processes and debugging tools.
  • Bonus: interest or experience in mobile connectivity, telecom, or search technology.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
