Job Brief

Experienced in working with REST and SOAP APIs, validating data flows, and ensuring seamless system integration. Strong background in stakeholder management, UAT facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration. Possesses domain knowledge in General Insurance processes, including policy lifecycle and claims handling.
Job Responsibilities
- Led requirements for an API integration project replacing old integration methods for real time data processing.
- Mapped complex data fields between front-end interfaces and backend or middleware systems, creating detailed requirement documents and Swagger specifications.
- Validated API requests and responses (JSON/XML) using postman to ensure business rules compliance.
- Facilitated UAT sessions with stakeholders to validate API data accuracy and performance.
- Analyzed API calls and WSDL files to identify gaps in data transfer between SOAP and RESTful services, reducing system downtime during migrations.
- Coordinated with developers and QA to simulate error scenarios in APIs for validation and troubleshooting.
- Understand the business needs and help convert those into effective solutions by working with technical teams.
- Collaborate with Business and other technical and non-technical resources to ensure holistic and complete solutions.
- Ensures changes management processes are adhered to and enforce new changes in application to all relevant teams.
- Play an active role in all phases of the project lifecycle, encompassing planning, functional design, development, testing, user liaison, training, deployment planning and execution, and end-user support.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in API or system integration projects
- Strong knowledge of API technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
- Ability to perform data mapping between systems and create functional specifications
- Basic knowledge of SQL / PostgreSQL
- Understanding of General Insurance processes (New Business, Endorsements, Claims)
- Familiarity with insurance products: Motor, Travel, Personal Accident, Home
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in UAT support and coordination
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams
