The Role

We’re looking for a driven Electronics Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Silverwater. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and maintain manufacturing test systems that support both new product introductions and high-volume production.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring product quality, improving manufacturing processes, and solving real-world production challenges—helping us deliver the performance and reliability RØDE is known for.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and improve assembly and manufacturing test systems for new and existing products
  • Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and design optimisation
  • Implement and validate design and process improvements through testing and analysis
  • Conduct peer reviews of hardware and software test systems to ensure alignment with product requirements
  • Perform DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate risks
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of designs, processes, and analysis outcomes

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • ~3+ years’ experience in electronics engineering, design, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuit design, PCB layout, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with ECAD tools (e.g. Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad or similar)
  • Programming experience in C++ or Python
  • Strong analytical thinking with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage and deliver improvement projects
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with firmware development, microprocessors, or embedded systems
