Image Sensor Device Development Engineer
Location: Yokohama
Annual Base Salary: ¥7,000,000–¥15,000,000
A global leader in cutting-edge image sensor technology is seeking a Device Development Engineer for its Japan engineering base.
In this role, you will drive innovation in CMOS image sensor device and process development and contribute to industry-leading products across automotive, mobile, surveillance, medical, IoT/AR/VR, and other fast-growing fields.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for one of the following areas, depending on your background
・ TCAD Simulation
- Device design, process/device modeling, simulation
- Benchmarking with silicon data, analysis, and adjustment
- TCAD tool optimization, vendor collaboration
・ Pixel Design
- Pixel and photodiode design, pixel performance improvement
- Development of new image sensor technology
・ Process Integration
- CMOS image sensor process design and optimization
- Collaboration with Fab process teams, performance improvement, and mass production project management
- Layout optimization in collaboration with pixel design and TCAD teams
・ Optics and Color Process Integration
- CF/ML process flow construction and optimization
- PDAF structure process development and test line management
Requirements:
・ English and Japanese at a level sufficient to perform the job using translation tools, even if not fluent
・ Experience and skills in one of the following:
- Experience with (2D/3D) TCAD simulation (Synopsys/Sentaurus, etc.)
- Experience with CMOS image sensor pixel design and optimization
- Experience in either process integration or semiconductor product development
- Experience in semiconductor lithography processes
