Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end finance operations and management account preparation for Polisea Labuan Ltd, the insurance arm of PolicyStreet Group.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing
• Responsible for the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of management account packs, financial statements and regulatory submission.
• Maintain and ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger records.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules, debtor and creditor statements of accounts and perform account reconciliations.
Accounts Payable & Treasury
• Prepare payment submissions and ensure proper supporting documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper controls over cash transactions.
Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement
• Liaise with external auditors, company secretaries and regulators in supporting statutory audit and regulatory filing processes.
• Assist in implementing of new accounting software, accounting policies and internal controls
- Degree in Accounting or professional qualification.
- Candidates who are currently pursuing professional accounting qualifications are encouraged to apply
- 3–6 years of experience in financial reporting, month-end close, and management accounts.
- Preferred: Experience in general insurance, reinsurance, or general takaful, with exposure to IFRS 17.
- Open to audit background, specifically Financial Institutions (Insurance) clients, OR finance reporting experience in SaaS, fintech, or digital platform businesses with subscription-based revenue/deferred revenue models.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and audit/regulatory reporting.
