Flexible but demanding for property consultants
Working at ERA Realtor Sdn. Bhd was a mixed bag for me. The independence as a property consultant was great, but it came with a lot of personal responsibility for managing my own time. It's a demanding role, especially when you're trying to hit sales goals in the competitive Kuala Lumpur property market. You can make it work if you're disciplined.
As a property consultant, I liked the freedom here. You set your own schedule, which is big in the real estate industry. Working from the Kuala Lumpur office was optional most days, so that's a plus.
Work-life balance can be tough though. It's really on you to manage client calls late nights and weekends. There's pressure to hit sales targets, so downtime often feels earned, not given.
More structured support for newer agents could help. Maybe some clear boundaries around client communication after hours would improve things for everyone.
