Company culture can feel pretty old-school and hierarchical sometimes. There's a lot of bureaucracy that just slows everything down. Innovation gets tough when every single decision needs so many layers of approvals, common in this large corporate environment.
Encourage faster decision-making and empower mid-level managers more. Break down some of the internal silos to improve collaboration across different research areas.
