Hybrid Model Works, But Onsite is Still Heavy
It's a big pharma company, so things move slow sometimes. The hybrid setup for my Clinical Research Associate role was a plus initially, but the onsite requirements grew over time.
I really liked the hybrid work option when it started. Being able to work from home a few days a week was great for my work-life balance. For many roles in the pharmaceutical industry, especially non-lab based ones, this is a solid perk.
The mandated onsite days felt a bit much, sometimes up to three days a week in the East Hanover office. It often felt like we were just doing remote work from the office anyway. It's not truly flexible if you're stuck to a rigid schedule.
Re-evaluate the necessity of so many mandated onsite days. True work flexibility for research roles could improve employee morale and retention. Trust your teams more.
