Decent Security for IT Services Roles
Working here as a Software Engineer in the Pune office has been an experience. It's a big corporate company, so job security is generally solid for core IT services. But, project shifts can make things feel a bit uncertain sometimes.
For us software engineers, especially in the Pune office, there's a good base of work. The demand for digital transformation projects keeps us busy. It's a big, global IT company; they don't do mass layoffs often, so you feel pretty stable in your role.
Project allocations aren't always smooth. Sometimes, you're benched or moved around quickly, which can feel a bit shaky for job security. Being in specific legacy tech stacks can be a risk; finding a new project isn't always guaranteed, making some roles less secure.
Focus on smoother transitions between projects for employees. Better communication around future project pipelines would ease job security concerns for many in software development roles.
