FinTech startup with shaky job security
Working at Tapi was a mixed bag. The tech itself is cool, but the vibe of uncertainty about layoffs really wears you down. It's a fast-paced startup, which is fun, but stability isn't their strong suit.
As a Software Engineer on the payments platform, I gained solid experience. The remote work arrangement is really flexible, which helps with work-life balance even when things are hectic. There's definitely interesting SaaS development happening.
Job security here is a real concern for FinTech roles. There have been too many reorgs and rumors of layoffs, which makes it hard to feel stable. Leadership sometimes seems disconnected from the day-to-day for remote employees.
Be more transparent about company direction and financial health. Constant reorgs and lack of clear communication really hurt morale and job security perceptions, especially for those of us working remote.
