Okay flexibility, but room to improve for tech roles
Nordic Global offers a standard hybrid setup, which is fine for most. It's not the most flexible place I've worked, but it's not the worst either. They're okay but could do better.
As a Software Engineer, I've had decent work flexibility here. The hybrid model is pretty solid, usually 2 days in the Seattle office. It's nice to have some remote options when personal stuff comes up, which isn't always a given in the tech industry.
However, true flexibility can feel limited. My team struggles with ad-hoc WFH requests; it's not always approved without a good reason. For software development, I think we could trust employees more with their schedules, especially after proving themselves.
Consider offering more genuine trust and autonomy regarding work-from-home days. It would really help retain talent, especially for senior tech roles, and improve morale.
