Solid Pay, Benefits Could Be Clearer

Eucalyptus has okay pay, especially for a Product Manager in the Sydney office, but the overall benefits structure, especially bonuses and stock, needs more clarity. It's a growing digital health company.

Pros

The base salary for a Product Manager is pretty solid for a startup in the digital health sector. They offer a good health allowance and decent superannuation. It's competitive for Sydney.

Cons

The bonus system isn't very transparent, which is tough. Salary reviews aren't always consistent across the company. Stock options aren't a major perk here, which can be a dealbreaker for some tech roles.

Advice to Management

Standardize the bonus process and ensure yearly compensation reviews are a clear part of the employee lifecycle. More transparency around equity would help with retention for Product Manager roles.

Solid Growth Opportunity in Digital Health
Pros: Working at Eucalyptus as a Digital Marketing Specialist in Sydney is genuinely rewarding. I've learned tons about digital healthcare. The team is supportive, and there's a strong, clear mission. Pay and benefits are competitive for health tech, which is a huge plus. The hybrid work setup offers excellent flexibility while keeping us connected.
Cons: It's a fast-paced environment, so busy periods are common. Some processes are still evolving due to our rapid growth. While there's always learning, formal career progression can feel a bit slower at times.
Advice to Management: Continue to refine internal processes as the company scales and consider clearer pathways for formal career progression within different departments.

Decent flexibility, could be better
Pros: They offer a pretty solid hybrid model, letting Customer Support Specialists do some remote work days which is a huge plus. It helps a lot in the telehealth industry where shifts can be varied, so having some WFH options is good.
Cons: However, true flexibility beyond the set hybrid days is tough to get. Changing shifts last minute or full-time remote work outside of emergencies isn't really an option here. It limits real personal scheduling when you need it most.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more genuine flexibility, not just a fixed hybrid schedule. Give team leads more power to approve ad-hoc WFH requests or shift swaps. It would really boost morale for teams needing that extra bit of give.

Decent place, but startup vibes mean less security
Pros: The team is super collaborative; everyone's pretty passionate about the digital health mission. You learn a ton working in a fast-paced health tech startup like this. Plus, being remote from Sydney gives good flexibility.
Cons: Job security is definitely a concern. We've seen some team restructuring, which makes people nervous. As a Product Manager, you always wonder if your role is truly stable in this kind of rapidly changing environment. It's not a place for long-term comfort.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer communication regarding company stability and future plans. It would really help calm nerves and improve job security perception for remote employees and those in critical product roles.
