Decent Balance, But Can Get Hectic
Working here offers decent work-life balance for a tech startup, especially with the remote option. However, project sprints can lead to longer hours, making it tough to maintain that balance consistently. It's a mixed bag.
For a tech startup, the work-life balance as a Software Engineer isn't bad most weeks. I usually hit my 40 hours, and the remote setup from San Francisco really helps. It's nice to avoid a commute.
But sometimes, especially during intense agile development sprints, it's crunch time. I've seen weeks go over 50 hours, which kinda drains you. There's definite pressure to deliver fast, and that impacts personal time.
Try to better manage the scope of projects, especially during agile sprints. Give engineers more realistic deadlines to prevent burnout. It would help improve overall morale and keep the work-life balance more consistent.
