Leadership has its moments, but needs focus
Working as a Network Engineer at Cedar Network & Data Solution has been a mixed bag. Some days are good, others are pretty tough because of how leadership operates. It feels like they're trying, but there's just not enough consistent direction, especially for us IT professionals working on network infrastructure.
Some of the senior leadership are genuinely supportive, especially during complex data solutions projects. They often back up their team when facing client challenges. It's a mid-sized company so you can get noticed if you work hard.
The biggest issue is a real lack of consistent communication from the top leadership team. Priorities for network infrastructure tasks change often without much warning. This makes it hard to plan, especially for onsite engineers at the Dallas, TX office.
Try to communicate more clearly and consistently from the top. Sticking to project plans would really help the engineering teams. Empower middle management more so they can better support their teams.
