Latrobe Community Health Service (LCHS) is seeking motivated
Dental Assistant / Client Services Officers to join our Oral Health team on a casual basis. This is a varied, hands-on role combining chairside dental assisting with front-of-house client services, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred oral health care across our clinics.

About The Role
In this dual-role position, you will:
- Provide chairside dental assisting to clinicians across general, outreach and specialist services
- Prepare and maintain dental operatories, instruments and equipment in line with infection control standards
- Assist with digital radiography, clinical documentation and patient referrals
- Support reception and client services, including appointment booking, triage and client enquiries
- Process payments and health fund claims (CDBS/MBS/DVA/HICAPS)
- Maintain accurate client records and support administrative and reporting requirements
- Contribute to a safe, efficient and welcoming environment for clients and staff
You may be required to work across multiple sites by mutual agreement.
What you’ll bring
- Enrolled in or completed Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Demonstrated experience or capability in dental assisting and/or dental reception
- Strong customer service skills and a patient-centred approach
- Knowledge of infection control standards and safe work practices
- Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and Working with Children Check
Experience using Titanium or similar dental software will be highly regarded.
