About The Role
As a Fire Engineer, you will support the delivery of accurate and compliant fire protection system designs and documentation for our Australian-based partner. Youll work closely with the project and design team to help ensure drawings, technical documentation, and project deliverables are completed accurately, aligned with standards, and delivered on schedule.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong Revit experience and a background in fire protection or building services projects who are comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.
Youll Be Working On
- Prepare and update fire protection system drawings and documentation using Autodesk Revit
- Support the development of compliant shop/design drawings based on Australian standards and project requirements
- Assist in preparing RFIs, bill of materials, drawing registers, technical clarifications, and submission deliverables
- Participate in project design coordination and provide regular progress updates to the design team.
- Review project specifications, design intent documents, and client requirements to support accurate deliverables
- Assist in producing fabrication sheets and final as-built documentation
- Help monitor project timelines, drawing updates, and documentation processes
- Coordinate with project and delivery teams to maintain clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support ongoing project maintenance, revisions, and design improvements as required.
- Ensure all deliverables follow company quality, safety, and environmental standards
What Were Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection, fire services, or related building services design and documentation
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, construction, or related projects is preferred
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- Familiarity with Australian Standards and fire protection systems design is highly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and BIM documentation workflows
- Comfortable using Autodesk tools and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, smoke detector, or EWIS systems is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good English communication and coordination skills
- Able to work collaboratively with project, design, and delivery teams
