The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a strategic liaison between business units and the IT organization, ensuring that technology solutions align with operational and business objectives across the MGEN group. The role is responsible for leading business analysis activities, managing cross-functional initiatives, supervising junior analysts, and supporting the successful delivery of enterprise and digital transformation projects.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis expertise with people leadership and project management capabilities, preferably within the energy, utilities, or industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Delivery
- Lead requirements gathering sessions, process mapping workshops, and stakeholder consultations across multiple business units.
- Analyze business processes, identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or optimization.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and system documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and solution providers to ensure accurate solution design and implementation.
- Support system testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect management, and post-implementation validation.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, governance, and compliance standards.
Project Management & Delivery Oversight
- Manage medium to large-scale IT and digital transformation initiatives from initiation to deployment.
- Develop project plans, timelines, resource requirements, risk assessments, and status reports.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Trading, Plant Operations, HR, Procurement, and external vendors.
- Facilitate project governance meetings and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
- Support change management and user adoption activities during project rollouts.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and mentor Business Analysts and project resources within the IT team.
- Review deliverables and ensure adherence to documentation and quality standards.
- Promote best practices in business analysis, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and project governance.
- Assist in resource planning, performance management, and capability development of team members.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, and high-performance team culture.
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders across the organization.
- Ensure alignment between IT initiatives and business priorities.
- Participate in IT governance, strategic planning, budgeting, and portfolio discussions.
- Assist in vendor management, contract reviews, and solution evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
- At least 7–10 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or IT project delivery.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or people management experience.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-wide or cross-functional IT projects.
- Experience in the power, energy, utilities, or industrial sector is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
- Experience with ERP, enterprise applications, data analytics, or digital transformation initiatives is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in vendor coordination and managing third-party service providers.
- PMP, PMI-PBA, CBAP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
