About the role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Manager to lead and oversee construction activities across complex projects from planning through execution and commissioning. This role requires a strong leader with excellent project management capabilities, technical understanding, and a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Construction & Technical Management
- Define project parameters, allocate responsibilities, and supervise multidisciplinary project teams.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and external consultants.
- Manage construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, engineering standards, and project documentation.
- Review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, quality standards, and overall performance.
- Develop and implement frameworks for project measurement, quality control, testing, and reporting.
- Support commissioning activities and transition into operational readiness.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Promote and demonstrate a strong safety culture and commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
- Ensure all construction activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Monitor implementation of hazard management plans and safety controls across project sites.
- Ensure team members are fit for work and operate within established safety procedures.
- Participate actively in Health & Safety initiatives and committees.
- Ensure all statutory and internal reporting requirements are met.
Project & Business Leadership
- Lead and manage construction operations to achieve project objectives, timelines, quality standards, and financial targets.
- Drive operational efficiency by identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and productivity during the construction phase.
- Support and promote the company’s corporate identity, values, and operational standards.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering documentation, and project execution processes.
- Experience managing contractors, multidisciplinary teams, and international stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
