Role Summary
Own the
end-to-end technical strategy and execution for Flutter/Dart package migration and long-term maintenance in the google3 ecosystem. Lead complex dependency resolution, architecture decisions, and ensure high-quality CL delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define migration architecture, standards, and best practices
- Lead complex package migrations and dependency resolution
- Review and approve high-impact CLs (Change Lists)
- Ensure build stability and package compatibility
- Drive code quality, testing strategy, and validation frameworks
- Collaborate with:
- Flutter SDK team (for SDK roll issues)
- Internal stakeholders for breaking changes
- Design solutions for:
- Multi-version package support
- Dependency conflicts in monorepo (google3)
- Mentor engineers and enforce engineering excellence
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Flutter & Dart ecosystem
- Deep experience with large-scale monorepos (Bazel/Blaze preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- Dependency management
- Versioning strategies
- CI/CD systems
- Experience with code review systems and large CLs
- Knowledge of Copybara or similar migration tools
Experience
- 8+ years in software engineering
- 3+ years in Flutter/Dart (or similar ecosystem)
