About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Full Stack Intern to join our dynamic team remotely from India for a 3-month full-time internship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the development of our Minimum Viable Product (MVP), working across both frontend and backend systems. As a Full Stack Intern at Village, you will be involved in building core features, implementing production-grade functionalities, and collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and leadership to shape the future of our platform. This position is ideal for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating ownership and making a tangible impact on our product development journey.
Qualifications
Applicants should be currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a reputed institution such as IIT or IIIT. Candidates must possess strong practical experience in developing native iOS applications using Swift and have a solid understanding of iOS SDKs and Apple frameworks. Familiarity with SwiftUI and UIKit architectures is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to develop scalable, production-ready mobile applications, with a deep understanding of mobile application lifecycle management, state management, concurrency, memory optimization, and performance tuning. Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, integrating backend systems, and working with databases, authentication protocols, networking layers, and cloud infrastructure is required. Proficiency with Git, version control workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development practices is also necessary. Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core features of the Village MVP iOS application, ensuring functionality aligns with product goals.
- Develop scalable, clean, and maintainable frontend architecture following industry best practices.
- Contribute to backend integrations, including APIs and data handling workflows to ensure seamless connectivity and data consistency.
- Implement UI/UX designs with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high performance and responsiveness across devices.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and leadership teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical decision-making, and code reviews to uphold quality standards.
- Debug, test, and optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, adhere to clean engineering practices, and ensure code quality through rigorous testing.
- Engage in rapid iteration cycles typical of startup environments, adapting quickly to feedback and changing priorities.
