Roles and Responsibilities
- SAP FI Configuration and Support
- Configure and maintain SAP FI modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting. Provide ongoing support and ensure system stability.
- SAP MM Configuration and Support
- Manage SAP MM functionalities such as procurement, inventory management, material master data, and vendor management. Ensure accurate and efficient material management processes.
- Financial and Supply Chain Process Expertise
- Apply strong knowledge of financial processes (month-end/year-end closing, tax reporting, financial statements) and procurement/supply chain processes to align system functionality with business needs.
- Incident Resolution and Change Management
- Handle incidents and service requests efficiently. Manage and implement system enhancements and change requests to improve functionality and user experience.
- Cross-Module Integration
- Collaborate with teams handling MM, SD, FI, and CO modules to ensure seamless integration and accurate data flow across SAP systems.
- Stakeholder Communication and Documentation
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear functional specifications. Prepare documentation for configurations, processes, and enhancements.
SAP Functional Expertise
- SAP FI configuration and support (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting)
- SAP MM configuration and support (procurement, inventory management, material master data, vendor management)
Business Process Knowledge
- Strong understanding of financial processes (month-end/year-end closing, tax reporting, financial statements)
- End-to-end procurement and supply chain processes
Issue Resolution and Change Management
- Proven experience in incident handling and implementing enhancements
Integration Skills
- Familiarity with integration points between FI, MM, SD, CO, and WM modules
Stakeholder Communication
- Ability to gather requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and coordinate with business users
Technical and Project Skills (Good to Have)
- Exposure to S/4HANA and SAP Fiori apps
- Participation in SAP implementation, rollout, migration, or upgrade projects
Certifications (Preferred)
- SAP FI or SAP MM certification
- Six Sigma, ITIL, PMP, or CPA license
Leadership and Mentorship (Optional)
- Experience in mentoring junior consultants or leading small teams/workstreams
Industry Knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or shared services environments
Educational Attainment: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Managementor any related field.
Certifications: SAP FI module training or certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting); or SAP MM module training or certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – Materials Management).
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in (1) SAP FI configuration and support, including GL, AP, AR, AA, and Bank Accounting; or (2) SAP MM configuration and support, including procurement, inventory management, material master data, and vendor management.
