Description

The Product Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned product categories, from concept development to market execution and performance monitoring. This role drives product strategy, branding, pricing, and promotional activities to ensure market competitiveness, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

  • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Manage product portfolio including new product development (NPD), product enhancements, and rationalization.
  • Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Define target markets, product positioning, and value propositions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, QA, Supply Chain) in developing new products.
  • Oversee product concept creation, feasibility studies, costing, and commercialization.
  • Coordinate product trials, sensory evaluations, and product validation.
  • Ensure timely launch of new products in accordance with project timelines.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans, campaigns, and promotional strategies.
  • Manage branding elements including packaging, labeling, and messaging.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels and materials.
  • Work closely with creatives and agencies for campaign execution.
  • Develop pricing strategies based on cost structure, market conditions, and competition.
  • Monitor product profitability, margins, and cost performance.
  • Recommend price adjustments and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Finance for pricing approvals and margin analysis.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to ensure effective product distribution and visibility.
  • Provide product training, selling tools, and promotional materials to the sales force.
  • Monitor product performance in the market (sell-in and sell-out data).
  • Support trade promotions, activations, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Monitor competitor activities including pricing, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Analyze market share, category performance, and consumer insights.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and recommend action plans.
  • Track product KPIs such as sales volume, revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review.
  • Analyze product performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, labeling standards).
  • Coordinate with QA and Regulatory teams for product approvals and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • At least 35 years of experience in product management, brand management, or marketing within FMCG or food manufacturing.
