Job Description
The Commercial Estimator will be responsible for managing tender pricing for Account Managers, minor quotes, unsolicited bids, and CRM/contract performance reporting.
The candidate will be instrumental in drafting prices for review on tender submissions, smaller value quoting, and running reports to check customer and contract revenue against budgeted expectations. The role will cover NSW and VIC, reporting to the Senior Account Manager.
Key Tasks And Accountabilities
- Liaise with Account Managers throughout NSW and VIC to draft up tender pricing for review.
- Actively manage and monitor customer satisfaction. Providing feedback to Operations and Account Managers.
- Manage the estimating process for the project/job/contract.
- Review Commercial Terms on contracts and draft departures for review.
- Prepare unsolicited bids and proposal templates for Account Managers.
- Monitor contract/client rates and report on any rates that are lower than our current standard prices.
Requirments
Qualification
- Tertiary studies in business or related disciplines, desirable but not essential
Skills
- Good understanding of the pricing models, build-up, and/or estimating calculations
- Strong time management skills related to ensuring work is completed efficiently for review
- Budgeting, quoting, and financial skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, related to client and internal management
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills
- Strong commercial skills related to reviewing contractual risks.
Experience
- 2-5 years in sales administration, co-ordinator role or similar
- 2-5 years’ experience creating quotes and complete cost build-up models for estimating
- Estimating experience will be highly regarded
