Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Troubleshoot network, internet, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
Manage user accounts, permissions, and network access
Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and system backups
Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks
Implement and monitor network security, antivirus, and firewall protection
Support server infrastructure and network-related systems
Maintain documentation of network configurations, inventory, and procedures
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support and repairs
Provide technical assistance to employees regarding network and internet issues
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems for desktops, laptops, and workstations
Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices
Perform computer setup, formatting, software installation, and system updates
Respond to IT support requests and provide on-site or remote technical assistance to employees
Replace or upgrade defective computer hardware components such as RAM, hard drives, keyboards, and monitors
Assist employees with email, system login, password reset, and application-related concerns
Ensure proper functioning of office IT equipment and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field
Proven experience as a Network Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or similar technical role
Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi configuration
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other network devices
Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux systems, antivirus solutions, system backups, and network monitoring tools
Knowledge of network security practices, firewall management, and user access control
Experience troubleshooting network connectivity, internet issues, hardware, software, and peripheral devices such as printers and scanners
Ability to perform computer setup, formatting, software installation, hardware upgrades, and preventive maintenance
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently
Good communication, customer support, and documentation skills
Ability to provide on-site and remote technical assistance to employees and coordinate with vendors or service providers when necessary
Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft certifications are an advantage
Willing to work onsite, perform occasional fieldwork for installations and maintenance, and provide after-hours support during emergencies or scheduled system maintenance
