An Accounts Receivable Assistant will fully support the Accounts Receivable and Collections function within the Finance department by ensuring accurate cash handling, reconciliation, monitoring of collections, and timely reporting of hotel transactions.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Handle Front Office cash reconciliation and ensure proper balancing of all transactions
  • Maintain control and accountability for the main float, including weekly monitoring of float lists and records
  • Reconcile Front Office paid-outs and control discrepancies through OPERA
  • Deposit all hotel income including cash, foreign currency, and checks on a daily basis
  • Prepare and distribute financial and collection reports to the Front Desk, Finance, and Executive Office
  • Audit and update bank accounts as scheduled
  • Prepare documentation for bank deposits and related transactions
  • Investigate and resolve cash variances and coordinate with concerned departments accordingly
  • Monitor receivables and assist in collection-related activities
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records
  • Perform other finance and accounting-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Cashiering, or Finance operations
  • Knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Familiarity with hotel systems such as OPERA is an advantage
  • Computer literate, with good MS Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in financial records
  • Passion for providing superior customer service
