Position: Career Readiness Program Supervisor
Status: Part-time
Location: Remote
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1 PM to 5 PM EST
About the Client
The Client is a workforce development organization that helps young adults with disabilities build real workplace skills and connect to meaningful employment. We believe in creating work environments where people can show up, contribute, and grow.
Our Work-Based Learning Experience (WBLE) program gives students hands-on experience in a fully virtual workplace. Participants take on structured work roles, complete real tasks, and learn what it means to be part of a professional team — all online.
About the Role
We're looking for someone who knows how to run a team, assign work, and give feedback that actually helps people improve. You'll serve as the supervisor for a small group of students (4-8 students at a time) in our virtual program, showing them what professional expectations look like in a real remote work environment.
You'll work alongside a Job Coach who handles individual support. Your focus is the work — setting the standard, reviewing what gets done, and guiding the team through their daily tasks.
What You'll Do
- Assign daily tasks and set clear priorities at the start of each session
- Lead brief daily check-ins with your cohort
- Review completed work and give direct, useful feedback
- Model professional communication and workplace behavior
- Guide participants on how to use technology tools — including generative AI — appropriately and effectively as part of their work tasks
- Complete daily and monthly written performance feedback
- Flag concerns to the Job Coach and Case Manager when needed
- Attend a 3-hour virtual orientation before the program begins
What We're Looking For
What matters is that you're comfortable working with people who may communicate or process things differently, and that you know how to hold clear expectations while staying patient and respectful.
You're also someone who:
- Has experience supervising or leading a team in an office, customer service, help desk, or business support environment
- Knows how to use generative AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) in day-to-day work and can guide others in using them well and responsibly
- Is comfortable working entirely online — video calls, shared documents, digital task tracking
- Communicates clearly in writing, since most of your feedback and coordination will happen that way
- Shows up consistently and professionally on camera
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of work experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Background in office support, customer service, help desk, or business operations
- Experience working with people in the autism spectrum, people with disabilities, or transition-age youth in any setting
- Comfortable using and teaching generative AI tools as part of everyday work tasks
- Reliable internet, camera, and audio for remote sessions
- Familiarity with working remotely is a plus
- Available Monday–Friday, 1:00–5:00 PM ET
Nice to Have
- Experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, or transition programs for people with disabilities
- Help desk or quality assurance background
- Experience mentoring or developing interns or early-career staff remotely
