For our client, we are seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track. The position offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization within a Aerospace & Defense environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $120,000 – $135,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Support the Program Manager in compliance and quality oversight across multiple locations
- Monitor operational activities to ensure contractual adherence
- Implement quality assurance processes and recommend improvements
- Enhance program effectiveness by applying current business practices
- Facilitate communication of lessons learned across program locations
- Identify areas for improvement and propose viable solutions
- Coordinate and attend conferences related to National Guard communications
- Serve as Acting Program Manager in the absence of the Program Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, behavioral/social science, HR management, or education
- 3+ years of relevant experience in program management and oversight
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access
- Understanding of Transition Assistance and family readiness programs
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
