We’re looking for a Senior Engineer with strong Typrscript & Java to join a growing software company delivering automation and originations solutions across the Banking & Financial Services sector throughout Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.
This is a hands-on product engineering role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to build scalable, customer-facing platforms and reusable product capabilities.
A major focus of the role will be helping architect, design and build the company’s reusable “off-the-shelf” playbooks and frameworks that can be deployed across multiple customer environments and use cases.
The Role:
- Design and develop scalable platform architecture, APIs and reusable product capabilities using TypeScript and Node.js
- Build and maintain reusable “Blueprint” playbooks and reference implementations across industry verticals
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineering teams to shape technical solutions and product direction
- Contribute to new feature development, platform modernisation and product innovation initiatives
- Lead hands-on engineering activities whilst contributing to architectural decisions and technical standards
- Work across modern cloud-native and distributed system environments
- Support proof-of-concept builds and emerging technology initiatives including AI-driven capabilities
- Create technical documentation, implementation standards and engineering best practices
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to internal delivery and professional services teams
- Operate within a high-autonomy engineering environment focused on ownership and outcomes rather than ticket-driven delivery
You’ll Need:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer / Product Engineer within product-led or SaaS environments
- Strong hands-on TypeScript and Node.js engineering capability
- Experience building scalable APIs, backend services and distributed systems
- Exposure to React or modern frontend frameworks
- Strong understanding of software architecture, reusable platform design and engineering best practices
- Experience working closely with Product and Design teams in collaborative product environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to balance hands-on development with architectural thinking and technical leadership
