Job Qualifications
- Strong software engineering fundamentals — object-oriented and functional design, clean code, and modular service construction in C#/.NET or Python
- Experience building agent-based or workflow-driven systems using the Microsoft Agent Framework (and/or Semantic Kernel), combining reasoning, orchestration, and execution across services
- Proven ability to implement end-to-end agent flows (input → reasoning → tool/action → response) against Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry models and enterprise data held in Fabric, Delta tables, and Databricks
- Experience integrating AI services, tools, and APIs into cohesive product features — prompt design, function/tool calling, and plugin patterns — and surfacing the assistant inside an embedded chat experience
- Deep understanding of workflow orchestration and state management — multi-step execution, error handling, retries, and idempotency across long-running agent runs
- Ability to design reusable skills / agent abstractions that encapsulate business logic and can be composed across multiple use cases
- Strong focus on context, permissions, and data grounding — retrieval over OneLake / Fabric and Delta sources, with access enforced through Entra ID and role-based permissions to keep outputs safe, accurate, and explainable
- Experience building production-grade AI systems — evaluation (e.g. Azure AI Foundry evaluations), monitoring, logging (App Insights), and continuous improvement loops
