Principal Duties And Responsibilities
As a Tax Associate at Apeiron, you are to prepare and manage tax related tasks with precision and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include preparing and managing financial statements focusing on the tax aspect, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and assisting with the preparation of tax returns and audits. You will be responsible for maintaining records, issuing metrics and dashboards, and providing analytical support for financial and operational needs.
The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data. You will collaborate closely with other functions within the firm to deliver comprehensive and cohesive services to clients. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of client service will be essential to your success in this role.
- Prepare working papers for computation of the appropriate tax
- Timely and accurate filing and reporting of the relevant and applicable tax returns
- Be abreast with the current tax issues to be applied to the conduct of work
- Assist with tax audits hand-in-hand with the legal department
- Assist with client concerns related to taxes which includes drafting of tax opinions hand-in-hand with the legal department
- Prepare and manage regulatory registration and compliance
- Administer production and distribution of internal financial reports, compile various cross functional reports
- Maintain issuing of regular metrics, reports and dashboards to Managers
- Prepare and maintain report templates for more advanced reports, supervise all enhancement and development requests
- Advocate and implement processes to improve MIS for improved monitoring and tracking for financial, resourcing and operational needs
- Preparing and filing tax returns for clients
- Consulting with clients, reviewing their tax information, and responding to questions and concerns.
Key Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, and related courses
- At least 1 year tax and compliance related experience is required
- Ability to give detailed attention to projects
- Exceptional proficiency working with Excel, including working with pivot tables, formulas, HLOOKUPS, VLOOKUPS
- Proficient in the use of PMicrosoft Office Applications to create documents and reports, etc.
- Exceptional multitasking skills, including the ability to manage several competing priorities at the same time
- Strong ability to communicate with colleagues, supervisor, management, in writing and in verbal format
- Energetic and self-motivated, and the ability to work independently yet achieve set goals and targets within deadlines
- Must be open to perform field work to client or BIR as needed
