Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide CAD CAFM Support and Supervision, managing the provision of services related to business feasibilities, standards, exterior design, and signage. This role ensures the processing, documentation, and tracking of relevant exercises, leveraging industry knowledge, market understanding, code compliance, and client expectations to deliver value-engineered and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the process for providing services related to business feasibilities or standards.
- Manage the processing, documentation, and tracking of exercises concerning feasibilities, standards application, exterior design, and signage.
- Provide expertise in industry trends, market dynamics, building codes, client expectations, value engineering, and innovation.
- Interface directly with clients to develop and present design solutions.
- Administer reviews and secure client approvals for all new projects or initiatives.
- Prepare preliminary plans and budgets.
- Communicate the rationale and status of all applicable standards to Project Managers (PMs), Team Managers (TMs), and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and trainings to the Project Management team and clients.
- Coordinate closely with design service providers to ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and meet client expectations.
- Respond to and report on the status of exercises as needed, ensuring processes are followed and auditable.
- Understand building components and disciplines, coordinating the currency and accuracy of design service information.
- Assist in the value engineering and continuous improvement of building elements.
- Create stacking and blocking plans, as well as space plans.
- Provide expertise for reviews of deliverables from third-party suppliers on the client's behalf.
- Act as a strategic part of the change process by innovating, applying, and educating.
- Respond to client inquiries and add value to the client's use of design services.
- Provide design insight and appropriate solutions in response to client needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Associate's Degree (AA/AS) in AD/CAFM, Diploma in Architectural Technology, or AutoCAD equivalent preferred.
- Designer Diploma or Degree in Interior Design preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Extensive Corporate and Retail design experience preferred.
- Prior related experience preferred.
Certifications/Licenses
- CAD/CAFM Architectural Technologist/Interior Designer (AATO/ARIDO/DC) preferred.
