We're a New York-based CPA firm looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our partners and manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working directly with financial data, solving accounting challenges, and helping businesses maintain healthy financial operations.

What You'll Do
- Support partners with administrative tasks, including bill payments, invoicing, CRM updates, scheduling, and client communications
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities for multiple clients
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger activities
- Record and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Process invoices and financial entries accurately and on time
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports to support business decision-making
- Monitor financial activity and ensure records remain organized and up to date
What You Bring
- Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Hands-on experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with partners and clients
Preferred
- Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Equivalent professional bookkeeping or accounting experience
