We are looking for a Port Planning Engineer / Port Development Engineer to join our Maritime team in the Philippines, supporting both local and international projects. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on port and terminal planning and advisory assignments, contributing to projects across feasibility studies, master planning, and development strategies. You will be guided by senior experts while developing your technical and consulting skills

What you do as a Port Planning Engineer / Port Development Engineer

As a Port Planning Engineer / Port Development Engineer, you will support the delivery of port and terminal planning and advisory projects across different stages of development. You will contribute to technical analyses, planning studies, and the evaluation of development options, while working closely with senior team members and specialists from across the business.

You will be involved in port and terminal master planning projects covering a range of sectors and commodities, including container, bulk, and general cargo developments. You will approach port planning from both an engineering and advisory perspective, working with colleagues across environment, social, and commercial disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.

What you bring

Responsibilities:

  • support port and terminal planning and advisory projects from feasibility studies through to master planning
  • work with senior colleagues to understand client needs and help shape practical, well-structured solutions
  • conduct technical analyses, develop options, and assess port and terminal development concepts
  • prepare clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and other project deliverables
  • collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, environment, and economics, to support integrated project delivery
  • support daily project activities by meeting deadlines and maintaining quality in line with company procedures
  • assist with proposal preparation and broader business development activities
  • take part in client meetings and workshops, helping present technical findings clearly
  • build knowledge of the port sector, including sustainability, digitalisation, and operational trends

Requirements:

  • degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
  • licensed Civil Engineer in the Philippines (preferred)
  • around 5+ years of relevant experience preferably in maritime, port or infrastructure projects
  • experience in planning, feasibility studies, or similar project work
  • ability to structure technical inputs and contribute to problem-solving within a team environment
  • experience working with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to project deliverables
  • strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills
  • good command of English (written and verbal)
  • exposure to port operations or development projects is an advantage
  • interest in sustainability, digitalisation, and smart port developments is a plus
