Qualifications

  • High school graduate or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a scaffolder in construction or industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of scaffolding systems (tube and clamp, frame, modular, etc.).
  • Ability to read basic scaffold drawings and work instructions.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
  • Familiarity with occupational safety standards and fall protection requirements.
  • NC2 Certification for scaffolding is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble and erect scaffolding according to approved plans, safety standards, and project requirements.
  • Inspect work areas to determine the type and amount of scaffolding needed.
  • Install platforms, guardrails, braces, ladders, and other safety components.
  • Dismantle scaffolding after project completion or when no longer required.
  • Inspect scaffolding before use to ensure structural stability and safety.
  • Identify and report damaged or defective scaffolding materials.
  • Follow company policies and occupational health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing work.
  • Secure scaffolding to buildings or structures to ensure stability.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other construction workers to meet project schedules.
  • Load, unload, and transport scaffolding materials to and from work areas.
  • Maintain housekeeping by keeping work areas clean and free from hazards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and proper storage of scaffolding equipment.
  • Comply with work permits, toolbox meetings, and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Respond promptly to safety concerns and stop work if unsafe conditions are identified.
