Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with a minimum of 5+ years of strict, hands-on development experience in the ServiceNow ecosystem. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of leading end-to-end (full-lifecycle) development projects, with specific, deep expertise in Service Portal development.
In addition to core platform development, advanced knowledge in specialized ServiceNow modules such as HRSD, IRM/GRC, CMDB, ITOM, or ITAM is highly desirable. You will be responsible for designing, coding, configuring, and implementing robust solutions that align with enterprise business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Lifecycle Development: Lead the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and deployment of ServiceNow applications, ensuring best practices and minimal technical debt.
- Service Portal Customization: Architect and build highly intuitive, responsive, and modern user interfaces using Service Portal, Service Catalog, Widgets, AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Module Implementation & Integration: Configure and customize core ITIL processes alongside advanced modules (HRSD, IRM/GRC, CMDB, ITOM, ITAM) based on project needs.
- Custom Applications: Design and develop scoped applications from scratch to meet unique business requirements.
- Scripting & Automation: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Server-Side and Client-Side JavaScript, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Flow Designer.
- Integrations: Build robust integrations between ServiceNow and external third-party systems using REST/SOAP Web Services, IntegrationHub, and mid-servers.
- Platform Maintenance: Oversee instance upgrades, clone-backs, patch installations, and bug fixes. Ensure high performance and security compliance across all environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience (Strict Requirement)
- Minimum 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer involved in full-scale development (not just administration or support).
Core Technical Skills
- Service Portal Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Service Portal architecture, custom widget development.
- Advanced Scripting: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
- Workflow Automation: Deep understanding of Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and IntegrationHub.
- Data Management: Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, schema, relationship mapping, and Transform Maps.
Module Expertise (One or more of the following is highly preferred):
- HRSD: HR Case Management, Employee Center, Lifecycle Events.
- IRM / GRC: Risk Management, Policy & Compliance, Audit Management.
- CMDB & ITOM: Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Asset/CI relationship building.
- ITAM: Hardware/Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM).
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Required: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Preferred: Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in Service Portal, HRSD, Discovery, GRC, or related modules.

- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions independently.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
