About The Role

The Senior Data Analyst at Alcool NB Liquor plays a vital role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization. This position acts as a strategic partner to various business functions, understanding their needs and delivering tailored analytical solutions. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing semantic models, developing comprehensive reports and dashboards, and providing high-quality data analysis. They will serve as a key influencer in promoting data literacy, mentoring team members, and ensuring the organization leverages data effectively to drive growth and operational efficiency. The role requires a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, data quality assurance, and continuous process improvement, all while aligning with ANBL’s core values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, report development, and data modeling
  • Proven expertise in designing and delivering enterprise Power BI reports and semantic models
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Fabric Lakehouse
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into strategic insights
  • Experience with data governance concepts and familiarity with data warehousing and dimensional modeling is an asset
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP/CRM systems is a plus
  • Bilingualism in both official languages is an asset but not mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify needs and develop scalable analytical solutions aligned with strategic goals
  • Design, maintain, and optimize semantic models and perform advanced analyses such as forecasting, segmentation, and trend analysis
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships across departments to anticipate evolving analytical needs
  • Proactively monitor and validate data quality, collaborating with Data Governance and Data Solution teams to resolve systemic issues
  • Establish and uphold documentation standards to ensure knowledge sharing and solution maintainability
  • Lead process reviews and implement efficiencies to enhance analytical workflows and deliver increased value
  • Promote data literacy organization-wide through mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing initiatives
  • Stay abreast of evolving tools, technologies, and best practices in analytics to continuously improve capabilities
