We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Immigration Legal Assistant to support U.S. immigration law case management. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative, client-facing, and organizational skills who is passionate about assisting clients through complex immigration processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare applications for family-based petitions (I-130/I-485), naturalization (N-400), and consular processing (DS-160/DS-260) using case management software (Docketwise).
  • Assist with asylum applications (I-589), work authorization (I-765), and advance parole applications (I-131).
  • Draft cover sheets, proof of service, tables of contents, and simple motions in immigration court as required.
  • Compile evidence packets for hearings, including affidavits, medical and psychological evaluations, country documentation, criminal records, and financial documents.
  • Track filing deadlines, hearings, and biometrics appointments; update project management software (Monday.com) as needed.
  • Provide regular updates and support to clients regarding their case status.
  • Answer phone calls and conduct preliminary intakes for prospective clients.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while organizing and managing electronic case files.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an immigration legal assistant or in a law firm.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; client-facing experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Stable employment history.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or relevant legal experience.
  • Experience in U.S. immigration law, including family-based, humanitarian, or removal defense cases.
  • Familiarity with Docketwise or other case management software.
  • Experience with automation tools or AI for case management a plus.

Schedule:

7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Tuesday – Saturday
