The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Process Technician to join our Ammonia/Ammonium Nitrate team in Kwinana. This hands-on role is crucial to the day-to-day operation of the plant, involving equipment operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a safety-focused environment. You’ll be supported with training and development opportunities and play an integral role in meeting production targets and ensuring safe plant performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and monitor plant processes to meet production targets.
  • Conduct plant startups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform first-line maintenance and raise work orders.
  • Collect and process samples; report deviations in plant performance.
  • Respond to emergency situations in line with safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and daily log entries.
  • Participate in safety meetings, HAZOPs, and training programs
  • Maintain plant area housekeeping standards.
  • Actively promote CSBP safety culture.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience with DCS systems and plant operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A Certificate III / IV in Process Technologies (desirable but not essential)

You’ll also be flexible with shift work and eager to learn new skills and processes.
