Your impact
At Jacobs, we’re redefining what’s possible by delivering innovative solutions for advanced facilities and mission-critical environments. As a Life, Safety & Systems Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in designing and implementing life safety and security systems for semiconductor and high-tech projects. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with international standards and deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable designs.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver life safety and security systems design and propose solutions to complex cross-discipline challenges.
- Prepare LSS system drawings and BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, and other CAD/BIM tools.
- Develop technical specifications, basis of design, and bills of materials.
- Ensure compliance with US and international codes and standards; knowledge of ANZ codes is a plus.
- Coordinate design activities across disciplines and provide quality checks and formal sign-off.
- Engage with clients through presentations, meetings, and technical discussions.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) and a valid PRC professional license.
- 5–20 years of experience in semiconductor projects, with proven expertise in life safety and security systems.
- Proficiency in BIM tools Revit, Navisworks (knowledge of MicroStation is a plus).
- Strong understanding of regulatory codes and standards US and other international standards; ANZ knowledge is advantageous.
- Comprehensive operational knowledge of electronics projects, including design coordination and construction support.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
