As a Payroll - HR Coordinator, you become the trusted first point of contact for employees navigating payroll, benefits, and personnel matters — keeping records accurate, inquiries resolved, and every payroll cycle running without a hitch.
This role sits at the center of the HR function, supporting everything from day-to-day employee questions to the behind-the-scenes recordkeeping that keeps a fast-paced, semi-monthly payroll cycle on track. YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE
- 3+ years of related HR or payroll coordination experience, along with an Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands-on experience with Insperity Premier or a similar payroll HRIS platform
- Working proficiency in Outlook (email, calendar, contacts) as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and HR/payroll regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write and speak clearly and professionally

- Experience supporting a range of HR functions including onboarding, benefits, timekeeping, and compensation
- A track record of handling confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism
- Comfort managing a high volume of inquiries and deadlines within a structured, semi-monthly payroll cycle
RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS
Employee & HR Support
You own the employee experience when it comes to payroll and HR questions.
- You answer employee questions on eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other employment or personnel information
- You monitor and manage the shared HR email and voicemail inbox, distributing inquiries as needed
- You guide employees through their Insperity login to access paystubs, W-2s, and update tax forms
- You respond to payroll inquiries submitted through the ticketing system and via email
Payroll & Records Administration
You ensure employment and payroll records stay accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- You process, verify, and maintain employment and personnel documents covering staffing, recruitment, training, evaluations, and leaves of absence
- You process employee change forms and file them in personnel and payroll records
- You follow up with employees on outstanding time-off requests, punch requests, and timecard errors ahead of semi-monthly payroll processing
- You reconcile employee time-off balances affected by transfers
Compliance & Reporting
You support the compliance and reporting backbone of the HR department.
- You send garnishment and unemployment requests to Insperity and file them in employee records
- You compile monthly recurring reports and other ad hoc reports as needed
- You save and file all off-cycle and regular payroll reports
- You manage HR-related invoices and ensure they're paid on time
