Your Role

  • Processing payroll in accordance with Alacrity Health’s pay processes (currently fortnightly)
  • Responding to queries related to payroll such as pay issues, superannuation, and assisting with Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL)
  • Processing invoices through our Customer Management System in conjunction with Xero, ensuring that invoices are accurate, up to date, and that we manage overdue invoices efficiently, quickly and fairly
  • Reconcile invoices and manage invoice data from the Customer Management System to Xero
  • Managing the service bookings on PRODA, the NDIS organisational management system
  • Reviewing and responding to invoice disputes and issues, including overseeing an audit of invoices to ensure information and processes are accurate and up to date
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed, e.g. shift changes, phone enquiries, and other admin functions
  • Assist with company audits of NDIA required information eg. appropriate documentation, information recorded
  • Assist with company audits of internal processes such as forms and policies & procedures
  • Assist the Director with finance and admin tasks as required

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll, finance, accounts administration, or a similar administrative role.
  • Proven experience processing payroll accurately and confidentially.
  • Experience with accounts receivable, invoice processing, reconciliation, and managing payment discrepancies.
  • Hands-on experience using accounting software (preferably Xero or similar ERP/accounting systems).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to payroll and finance-related queries.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential employee and financial information.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Experience with Australian payroll standards.
  • Experience using Xero for payroll and accounting functions.
  • Experience assisting with Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL) administration.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare, disability, aged care, or community services sector.
