Litigation Associate - Insurance Defence
A well-established and respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 5-8 years of experience to join its growing litigation team in downtown Calgary.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advance insurance defence litigation files from inception to resolution.
- Handle property, personal injury, and liability matters on behalf of insurer clients.
- Conduct Questioning, mediations, negotiations, and court appearances.
- Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, and other litigation documents.
- Provide strategic advice and reporting to insurance clients.
- Independently manage a busy file load while maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of litigation experience.
- Insurance Defence experience is mandatory.
- Strong experience with insurer reporting and independent file management.
- Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
