About Vindynamics

At VinDynamics, we design safe, affordable, and intelligent humanoid robots to assist in everyday life — robots for everyone. Backed by Vingroup, Vietnam’s leading technology conglomerate, we are on a mission to make advanced robotics accessible, reliable, and beneficial for billions of people worldwide. By combining cutting-edge AI, world-class engineering, and human-centered design, we aim to seamlessly integrate robots into daily life — enhancing safety, productivity, and happiness at home and beyond.

Job Summary

The role focuses on embedded system architecture, embedded hardware design, PCB circuit design, firmware development, and camera sensor integration. The engineer will work on MCU- and SoC-based platforms that interface with multiple camera streams and sensor modalities, process camera data near the edge, and communicate reliably with higher-level robot control systems.

This position offers the opportunity to build practical robotic sensing hardware from concept to prototype, including circuit design, board bring-up, low-level firmware, multi-camera data interfaces, industrial communication protocols, and system-level debugging for next-generation robotic hands.

Job Description

  • Design and develop embedded hardware and embedded system architectures for tactile sensing modules, robotic fingertips, robotic hands, and related robot sensing platforms.
  • Design, review, and bring up custom PCBs for camera imaging sensors, sensor interface circuits, MCU/SoC modules, power regulation, data acquisition, and communication interfaces.
  • Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for MCUs and embedded processors, including low-level drivers, sensor synchronization, data acquisition, communication stacks, and diagnostic functions.
  • Integrate camera imaging sensors and support multi-stream camera processing, including sensor triggering, frame acquisition, buffering, bandwidth management, and data transfer to edge processors or robot computers.
  • Select and implement camera and sensor data interfaces such as MIPI CSI-2, parallel camera interfaces, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and other relevant links depending on system requirements.
  • Implement and validate industrial communication and networking interfaces, including Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Ethernet TCP/IP, and related protocols for robot-system integration.

Requirements

Relevant education and experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Junior level: 1-3 years of relevant experience in embedded hardware, embedded firmware, PCB design, or sensor-system development.
  • Senior level: 3-5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated ownership of embedded hardware or embedded system modules from design to validation.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded system architecture, hardware design, PCB circuit design, firmware development, and board-level debugging.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in robotics, robotic hands, tactile sensing, camera-based sensing, or sensor fusion systems.
  • Experience with STM32, NXP, ESP32, ARM Cortex-M, Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or other MCU/SoC platforms.
  • Familiarity with RTOS, embedded Linux, V4L2, GStreamer, OpenCV, ROS/ROS2, or robot middleware is a plus.
  • Familiarity with camera sensor integration and data interfaces, such as MIPI CSI-2, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and parallel camera interfaces.
  • Understanding of multi-stream camera acquisition, camera synchronization, frame buffering, bandwidth estimation, data throughput, and latency considerations.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and networking, including Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, TCP/IP, Ethernet-based communication, and device-level protocol debugging.
  • Ability to evaluate tradeoffs among bandwidth, circuit complexity, board size, power consumption, noise robustness, and system scalability.
  • Experience moving prototypes toward manufacturable and reliable hardware designs is a strong plus for senior candidates.

Personality/ Attitude

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proactive, dedicated, business-oriented, responsible and willing to learn
  • Good communication skills, creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications
  • Work in a high-speed technology environment backed by Vingroup and VinDynamics leadership.
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with capability and business impact.
  • Clear ownership, measurable KPIs, and exposure to global partners, US platform models, and frontier robotics businesses.
