Artwork management services for Bayer Consumer Health that sustain the Design & Packaging processes, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal requirements
Coordination of the creation and approval of MAW file for NPD and re-designs
Manage graphics operations and KPIs of regional packaging sites
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as project manager between cross-functional teams, design + artwork agencies and production sites in projects assigned.
Deliver expertise and consultancy to the commercial teams and the Design organization for Brand redesigns and Master Artwork Development.
Act as guardian of Brand Packaging Guidelines and master assets e.g.logos and typefaces
Demonstrate knowledge of lay out rules, techniques, typography, and text culture
Develop briefs for third parties, create design concepts, redesign existing brands, and adapt corporate design to local requirements in collaboration with creative agencies and marketing teams.
Final prepress preparation of packaging layouts for printing houses (flexography, offset for Spot Colors) based on specifications and approval for printing
Identify, assess, and communicate graphics related risks associated with project timelines throughout the project and execute new projects with an acceptable ‘Right the First Time’ rate for tasks / deliverable.
Maintain the packaging change requests in the Artwork and Product Lifecyle Management systems
Manage the preparation and submission of proposed labeling through the Change Control Process for review and approval. Oversee and coordinate the creation of ready-to-print artwork in compliance with approved Change Control documentation and packaging specifications.
Oversee the timely provision and approval of updated artwork for production sites, ensuring technical accuracy and effective communication with manufacturers and print shops to resolve any issues.
Support of the initiatives of packaging improvement and projects for packaging components, as well as coordination of their implementation, for the purpose of optimization of quality and innovations for the consumer in cooperation with production sites and suppliers of packaging materials.
Align and implement sustainability objectives with respect to artwork management
Continuously report and monitor key KPIs for the allocated sites
Continuously identify and highlight process improvements and assist in the updating of graphics process specific SOP's and procedures
YOUR KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (design, graphic communications, or print technologies) or comparable experience.
3-5 years of experience in artwork management of OTC/Pharmaceutical products or FMCG, packaging design or print production. Or experience in a design agency as part of a production team
Must be a team player with project management and organizational skills
A positive, proactive and flexible attitude in a fast-paced environment with consistent attention to detail and good judgment.
Comprehensive understanding of artwork workflow and processes
Good interpersonal skills and high degree of customer focus
Proactive approach, with good planning, communication and presentation skills
Fluent in English
Excellent design sensibilities
Proficiency in Design Software such as Adobe CS (to be able to review artwork files from agencies + work on adaptations)
