The President is accountable to the Board of Trustees and provides strategic, academic, administrative and financial leadership to the university. He/She fulfills Board-directed institutional vision, mission, and goals and ensures full compliance with CHED mandates and accreditation standards. He/She drives institutional sustainability, growth and academic and administrative excellence in a competitive global and local educational landscape. The President balances academic priorities with operational efficiency while fostering innovation, inclusivity and strong stakeholder relationships.

What We're Looking For:
Education: Must hold a doctoral degree (e.g., Ph. D., Ed. D.) from a reputable university
Experience: At least 10+ years of significant progressive leadership experience in higher education management, e.g., leading academic units at department, college, division level. Ability to work through deans to drive academic quality, curriculum relevance, and faculty development.
Track Record: Proven track record of academic accomplishments, research publications, and extension services.
Knowledge Requirements:
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Philippine educational system, CHED issuances and quality assurance frameworks, accreditation standards of local and international educational certifying bodies and the broader ASEAN educational landscape. Able to lead the university through accreditation cycles to maintain Autonomous Status.
Digital Literacy: Visionary outlook on integrating Educational Technology (EdTech) and AI tools into University operations and teaching.
General Knowledge: Good understanding of the needs and concerns of the University constituencies including students, faculty and staff, alumni and other University supporters as well as the national and international trends, issues, and demographics affecting the University. Demonstrated capability in utilizing this knowledge for institutional advancement, including fundraising and legislative relations.
Competency Requirements:
Financial and Strategic Oversight: Strong background in corporate governance, budgeting, risk management, and strategic execution. Demonstrated ability to read institutional financial health, make insight-driven resource allocation decisions across colleges, and execute portfolio rationalization. Capable of making hard and unpopular decisions on non-earning course offerings. Entrepreneurial mindset for resource generation and institutional growth.
External Partnerships and Network: Capability to build relationships with industry, government, international partners and the health sector which are critical for enrollment growth, research funding and the University’s lifelong learning agenda.
Institutional Fit and Mission Alignment: Ability to unify the teaching and non-teaching personnel and earn institutional credibility across the various sectors of the University (academic and non-academic). Commitment to the principles of academic freedom, tenure, shared governance, diversity and inclusion as beliefs and values that enhance the educational process.
Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate relationships with diverse groups and inspire them including both internal constituencies (students, faculty, staff, the Board) and external parties (corporate partners, government agencies).
