You'll design and build workflow automation systems using BPMN/DMN/CMMN modeling, integrate them with other services, and keep them running reliably in production. You'll also talk to non-technical stakeholders regularly, so clear communication matters as much as clean code.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Building and maintaining Java-based microservices that power automated workflows
- Modeling business processes using BPMN 2.0, DMN, and CMMN
- Creating custom workers, connectors, and plugins to meet integration needs
- Working with REST APIs, event-driven patterns, and external task handling
- Debugging and tuning workflow performance in live environments
- Collaborating with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into working solutions
- Managing deployments with Docker and Kubernetes, maintaining CI/CD pipelines
You'll need:
- 3+ years of Java development experience (Java 8+)
- Practical experience with a BPM or workflow platform (Camunda, Temporal, or similar)
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MS SQL (MongoDB is a bonus)
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Groovy, JavaScript, or FEEL
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Confidence communicating technical concepts to non-technical people
This is a role for someone who wants to understand
why a process works the way it does, and not just make it run. If that sounds like you, apply and tell us about a workflow problem you've solved.
