Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Writer to join Compatio and own the documentation and content layer that
makes our product easy to understand, adopt, and champion. You will translate complex product and technical
concepts into clear documentation for developers and end users, while also creating marketing content — case
studies, presentations, and web copy — that communicates our product's value to the outside world.
This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of engineering, product, and marketing. If you enjoy turning

Role Overview
As a Technical Writer at Compatio, you will build and maintain a thorough understanding of the complete
product suite over time. Your primary charter is to create accurate, well-structured technical documentation and
compelling marketing content that serves both internal technical audiences and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Development
- Create and manage technical documentation, including product documentation, API documentation,
technical specifications, and release notes.
- Organize and write supporting documents for products.
- Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers to understand functionality.
- Determine the documentation needs of end users.
- Work with technical staff to make products easier to use, reducing the need for lengthy instructions.
- Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts to increase users' understanding.
- Select the appropriate medium for the message or audience, such as manuals or online videos.
- Standardize content and terminology across platforms and media.
- Revise and update documents as products evolve or new issues arise.
- Maintain basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development practices.
Marketing & Content Creation
- Develop compelling marketing material — including presentations, case studies, and website
content — that communicates product features and benefits to target audiences.
- Create content marketing campaigns to drive leads and subscribers.
- Apply SEO best practices to generate traffic to the website.
- Regularly produce various content types, including email, social media posts, blogs, and white
papers.
- Actively manage and promote the company blog, and pitch articles to relevant third-party platforms.
- Edit and refine content produced by other members of the team.
- Analyze content marketing metrics and adjust strategy as needed.
- Work closely with product owners and developers to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with internal teams on product and documentation requirements.
- Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers.
- Collaborate with other departments to generate innovative content ideas.
Industry Awareness & Innovation
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
- Suggest innovative, new-age ideas for technical documentation.
- Adapt writing style and tone to target different audience segments — both external customers and internal technical audiences.
Qualification Required
- 4+ years of industry experience as an effective technical writer.
- Experience managing documentation in Postman and Confluence.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
- Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Word.
- Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
Preferred
- Experience with GitBook or similar documentation platforms.
- Familiarity with video editing tools such as Adobe Captivate and Adobe Premiere.
- Working knowledge of Figma for visual and UI-related documentation.
- Prior experience in content marketing, SEO, or growth-focused content.
- Background in a SaaS or technology product company.
